| Lakenvelder
General Description:
Rare Breed Large
(2.2Kg-2.7Kg) Bantam
(510g-680g)
These attractive birds come
originally from the Netherlands from the same area as Lakenvelder cattle, which
have the same distinctive black head, neck and tail. This colouring is unique in
chickens. They are active birds which like to forage and are also good fliers
for chickens. These are Rare Breed birds possibly due to the difficulty in
breeding the solid black colour in the neck and tail
